Kate was surprised. She smiled weakly and grabbed a cigarette and lighter. She blocked the thought of her grandma and lit it, putting it in her mouth. 'Thanks,' she said softly as she took a drag, breathing out out a couple of seconds later. She made sure not to blow the smoke in Ronans face.
'How do people do this?' she asked. 'How can they move on? Like...' she sighed as she took another drag of the cigarette.
