Falling expectations

  Ronan looked at Hannes and sighed. 'Same way we you are going there, we can't call the ambulance again, it will give the school an even worse reputation,' he told her. 'Let's just keep him passed out for as long as possible so we don't die out of annoyment,' he said as he walked to the front door.
  'Aye aye.' Kate tried walking but she couldn't lean on her broken leg. When Ronan opened the door she was just to step outside but then she saw it was raining. A scream escaped her mouth as she struggled against Ronan to walk outside. She wanted back, back where it was dry. She didn't care about her broken leg, she could stand on it as long she didn't needed to go outside where it was r a i n i n g!
  'Nopenopenopenopenope,' Kate mumbled as she tried stepping back. 'I swear I will not go out, I swear Ronan don't do this to me,' she begged him, her voice on the brink of breaking as she with fear in her eyes looked at the raindrops falling outside.

  Ronan sighed and let her sit down.
  Kate sighed deeply, trying to control her fear as she watched the rain still falling outside. 'Here,' she heard Ronan say and when she looked at him she saw him handing her his coat. She took it thankfully and watched him walk out to his car. He drove towards the door and opened the door for her.
  'It's just one step Kate,' he told her. 'One step.'
  But Kate shook her head. 'C-Can't we wait until it stops raining?' she asked him. 'I mean, I can hold it out and I'm sure Hannes won't wake up soon,' she tried desperately.

  Ronan shook his head. 'Nope I don't want Friedrich to find out right now cause it was my shift so yeah, I mean do you want a probably angered Friedrich right now cause I don't,' he said as he picked her up and almost forced her to take another step.
  'Alright alright, chill,' Kate said as she paused for a moment. She looked outside and sighed deeply as she put the capuchon over her head. She leaned on Ronan again and walked as fast as she could through the rain into the car. She crawled inside the car, not caring about her leg for a moment as she quickly put out Ronans coat and threw it to the front.

  Ronan walked back to take Hannes and Kate waited impatiently. Eventually they came back and Ronan basically threw him in the car next to Kate. Kate groaned as she laid her legs on top of Hannes. 'Ey, wake up,' she said to him. Then she saw the rain stop and the sun breaking through the clouds. She groaned loudly. 'See, we could've waited!' she said angrily to Ronan. She turned to Hannes again and saw he didn't wake up. She sighed deeply and kicked him hard while yelling: 'WAKE UP!'

  Hannes screamed and cried instantly. 'Oh my god it wasn't a dream.'
  Kate was silent for a moment as she watched him cry. Eventually she sighed. 'No it wasn't, now please make me dry because I'm going to fucking die,' she said as she showed him her arm that got wet in the process of her getting into the car.

  Hannes looked at her. 'No,' he said calmly before he looked away.
  Kate clenched her jaws together and kicked him again. 'Do it,' she commanded. 'Or I'll kick you again and again and again, do you want that?' she asked him as she waved her arm up and down before his nose.

  Kate noticed him shivering though but she didn't care as long she got dry.
  Hannes did it very careful though. Kate kept looking at him and held her good leg ready to kick him if his temperature got just a slightest bit colder.

  Hannes dried her arm without further obstacles and when he was done Kate happily took her arm away and leaned against the door. 'Thank you,' she said as she took her leg away from the easy kick spot and laid it down on Hannes' lap, supporting her broken leg. She didn't want to put her legs on him, but there was no other place for them and this was honestly the most comfortable position.
